About The New Moon Debate…

Sometimes, I have random questions that spring up out of nowhere. This time led me to a quick calendar correction that’s now under publishing review. Should be the final revision. This question led me to check the internet for commentary about the biblical new moon.

For every dissenter, there’s a label created by them. Who knew religious topics would have more labels than the DSM… I digress.

It is incredible how one can point to flaws in another’s theory, but don’t see or care about the flaws in their dissention.

To me, both argument sides are flawed. I went into this project-turned-book with little indoctrination, and knowledge of current church doctrine. I started strictly with 1) Scripture, 2) History, and 3) Science… In that order.

There are 2 new moon camps:

• new moon is first day

• crescent moon is first day.

Most seem to ignore the first, despite Exodus 40:2 tells us – NEW MOON IS THE FIRST DAY OF THE MONTH.

When both campus ignore this fact, and don’t even quote the verse in their arguments, both are wrong! Craziness. Ignoring this verse skews everything! Is that the point? It must be. In other words, do your own research, the majority isn’t always right, and the devil has his people, too. Remember that.
